Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers a central location close to downtown Courtenay and next to one of Canada's top 10 restaurants, with some areas needing improvement like better timing for the pool opening and cleanliness issues. The service was more than helpful despite some noise disturbances. The breakfast experience was a first for us, with some room for enhancements. Rooms offer a view of the pool but lack certain amenities like a floor mat at the entryway.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms were fantastic, with the ability to slip out the patio door for a morning walk across the lawn and along the river path. It was a peaceful experience enjoying my coffee in the lovely courtyard overlooking the river and pool area. The space was well laid out and very nice. The service was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great tips on local attractions. The location was perfect, especially being right on the river and next to an outstanding restaurant. The dining experience was a pleasant surprise, with tasty salads available. Overall, a wonderful stay.
I had a delightful stay at this hotel overlooking a lush garden with a little creek and pond. The room was lovely and made for a quiet night, and I wish I could have stayed longer to explore the nearby trails along the river. The cleanliness was impeccable, but a few improvements could enhance the experience.
For a skiing trip up to Mount Washington, this hotel offers great rooms like mini apartments with a comfy living area and a decent kitchen but noise from the metal bridge deck can be bothersome. The service was friendly and helpful with suggestions on local sights, while the location is perfect for exploring Courtenay and Comox with access to the waterfront trail. The dining experience was a bit lacking in seating but offered gyudon dishes. Overall, a convenient choice with some noise concerns.
I stayed at a hotel located in Courtenay at the north end, near the bridge. The rooms were decent, but you could hear noise from a mechanical room or something. The service was amazing, especially with great hot tubs and a comfortable bed. However, I experienced an awful lack of empathy from the staff. The location was nice, although covered in bird poo, feathers, and detritus, and I wished the facilities opened earlier for that early morning swim. The dining experience was satisfactory with some friendly staff, but the breakfast options were not impressive.
